We begin tonight with a wide racial gap in city contracts. According to the Boston Globe, less than one percent of the contract spending went to companies headed by women or people of color. And the Globe reports the mayor will have the Boston Police start using body cameras on a regular basis in the coming weeks. The equipment has already been given out to police in Area C, in South Boston and most of Dorchester. This morning, in Roxbury, volunteers took streets, sidewalks and parking areas for a spring cleanup. The help included students from the nearby City on a Hill Public Charter School.
