The next train might be delayed, but the next fare increase took effect this morning--greeted by rush-hour protests at several stops. Despite recent efforts to address problems on the M-B-T-A, recent polling shows little feeling of improved service--after multiple fare increases.
The Tee plans one other change this summer: two hundred new buses powered at least partially by batteries. According to the Boston Globe, the Silver Line will have five battery powered buses that can operate without diesel fuel.
