Our top story: a state agency drops the ball on problem drivers. Officials said yesterday, over the past fifteen months, the Registry of Motor Vehicles ignored thousands of alerts from other states about drivers from Massachusetts--including people driving under the influence. And Boston Police are cracking down on gypsy cab drivers around Dudley Square in Roxbury. According to the Bay State Banner, some merchants say the drivers add to congestion and take up parking spaces that could be used by shoppers. Police are asking for information about a suspect in a fatal shooting eight weeks ago in Dorchester. A murder warrant has been issued for a twenty-four year-old man from Roxbury, Jamesy Washington. He's accused in the killing of twenty-four year-old Donell Davis, of Dorchester. Interview with City Councilor Lydia Edwards.
