Our top story: new money for affordable housing from the state. This morning in Mattapan, Governor Baker announced an additional eighty-six million dollars for workforce housing. Developers are scaling back on plans for the site of a warehouse and parking lot in the Seaport District. According to the Boston Globe, developers affiliated with Millennium Partners want to use the property in the Ray Flynn Marine Industrial Park for office and research space. An archaeological dig started yesterday in Boston's Chinatown. Over the last two centuries, the historic neighborhood has been a home immigrants from China, the Middle East and Europe.
