Our top story: Mayor Walsh demands more service on the M-B-T-A. In a letter to the state transportation secretary, Stephanie Pollack, the mayor asked for trains to run more often on the Red Line and the Fairmount-Indigo line. And there was a major disruption this morning for riders on the Blue Line. Around eight o'clock, the line lost electrical power between two stations, Government Center and State Street. Plans for a slave auction memorial at Faneuil Hall are withdrawn, following opposition from a civil rights group. The memorial was planned to spotlight Boston's historic connection to the slave trade, including the role of the hall's donor and namesake, Peter Faneuil.
